By suggestion of a friend, I started reading a book called The Art Of Dreaming by Carlos Castaneda.  It discusses dreaming and how it can be used to enter the spirit realm and be used to communicate with spirits.  I haven’t read too much of it and am taking it slow.  One part in particular spoke about seven gates to pass through (though they are more like steps to take in order to improve your dreaming abilities).  After reading about the first gate, I figured I might as well try it.  The first gate was essentially focusing on something. The example used was your hand.  Two nights after reading about it, I was able to do this.  I won’t delve too much into all the details of the dream before that happened, but in the dream I found myself in front of a familiar building that I spent a lot of time at during my first year in college.  I was walking around the building, and I came across a girl sitting in her car.  She looked at me shaken, then said something along the lines of “I know what you did”.  I had no idea what she was talking about and I told her.  She just kept quiet, looking at me with the same scared look.  I walked off then, somehow came to the realization that I was dreaming and looked at my hands.  They had all kinds of strange black marks on them that looked like X’s.  I had no idea what this meant, but then I looked to the sky.  The moon was about half full, and shining bright.  I had a sudden burst of ambition and figured since I was dreaming, might as well try to control it a little.  I looked up, focusing on the dream, trying to make the sun come out.  Instead, the moon started filling up until it became full, then went back to being less than half, then went back to full. It did this a few times.  I watched for a little bit, then decided to enter the building through the back entrance.  I saw some friends that I usually would hang out with when I was back in college.  they all looked at me with the same, fearful look, but trying to hide it.  One, tried talking to me, still trying to hide it by being friendly.  He then left quickly to another room.  I knew somehow that he was trying to warn the others about me and whatever it was I supposedly had done.  I cut him off through another way to the same room and said “I know what’s going on”.  Not that I knew why they feared me, but that they were afraid for some reason.  I woke up shortly after that.

I still have no idea what any of this means, though I do feel that this is some kind of progress.  I haven’t had much progress since this dream, but it at least gives me a start somewhere.  I’m hoping to progress further into this and learn even more.  any interpretations are appreciated, and if more details are wanted for that, I would be glad to provide them.
